Abstract

The basic concepts and mathematical models of the power system state estimation along with bad data detection, identification and elimination method are described briefly. Study of the various methodologies and development, regarding the mathematical formulation, numerical solution, computational procedure, measurement types and identification of the modelling errors in the literature, concerning power system static state estimation process, is discussed step by step. The aim of this paper is to provide a comprehensive bibliography on power system static state estimation. The advantages and disadvantages of each method are reviewed and development trends of state estimation are pointed out.
