Abstract

This paper presents an overview of the current state-of-the-art methods for modelling and solution of goal programming(GP) problems. Strategies for integrating these techniques into computerised software and thus specifications for producing an ‘intelligent’ GP solution and analysis package are suggested. Some recent criticisms of GP are detailed, together with how these perceived problems can be alleviated by means of such a package.
