Abstract

Multiple-visit endodontic procedures for patient comfort, termination of the root canal filling material slightly short of the apex, adequate filling of the root canal and access opening, preservation of root length at surgery, and biomechanical preparation of the canal during endodontic treatment procedures are emphasized. A patient with a draining sinus from a maxillary central incisor had a history of root canal treatment and periapical surgery. The sinus tract closed and a periapical lesion healed after re-treatment of the root canal and another apical surgery.
