Abstract
The authors describe the first highly enantioselective preparation of spirolactones using racemic cyclic β-keto esters and vinyl selenone. This organocatalyzed one-pot Michael addition-cyclization sequence affords various spirolactones in high yields with excellent enantioselectivity.
