Abstract

An optoelectronic processor (OEP) intended for recording radiation of pulsars with compensation of their dispersion distortions in real time in a wide frequency band and summation of output signals, synchronous with the pulse repetition period, is developed. The OEP includes an acousto-optic spectrum analyzer and a digital signal processor. The structure, principle of operation, and hardware implementation of the pulsar OEP are considered. The results of the experimental study and application of the OEP for observing pulsars on a radio telescope are given. The reception band of the pulsar OEP is 80 MHz.
