Abstract
A 750 MHz high output feedback power oscillator using class-C amplifier is presented. The oscillator is designed for maximum output power by incorporating large-signal S-parameters. A high conversion efficiency of 45% is measured with an output power of 26.2 dBm. The performance of this high power oscillator was also simulated by using the Hewlett Packard EEsof High-Frequency Design Solution Series IV software. A comparison between the estimated results by using the developed method, the simulated results by using HP EEsof and the experimental results is also shown in this paper. This paper provides a new method for engineers to design high power oscillators more efficiently.
