Abstract

The current-voltage characteristics of conventional photovoltaic modules were measured at 25, 45 and 60 °C for illumination levels varying from 50 to 350 mW cm −2. The measured module parameters are used to deduce an optimum concentration factor based on the module efficiency. The results indicate an optimum concentration factor of 2 at a temperature of 45 °C.
