Abstract

The present paper is devoted to the computation of the optimum signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of a cognitive network with single primary (subscriber) and single secondary (anonymous) user. To solve this problem, an optimization method based on a theorem in matrix algebra on the properties of the ratio of two Hermitian forms is used.
