Abstract

Nowadays more and more large-scale social events are taken place in our country, such as the 26th World Olympic Games in Beijing, the 2010 EXPO in Shanghai. During such celebrations, numerous people will be distributed in short time span and in limited areas. Once some emergency occurs, the rescue resource should be arrived as soon as possible to decrease the loss. This paper will mainly study the emergency resource scheduling problem for the large-scale events. In this paper, a two-stage model is put forward, in which the first stage will focus on the material dispatch problem and the second stage on the vehicle routing problem. In this model, the demand characters of the rescue material during the large-scale event emergency are analyzed, and then we mainly considered the scenario of one material distribution center, multi-material demand, meanwhile the variation of the material demand with the evolvement of the disaster is considered. At the end of the paper, a numerical case analysis will show that the model is appropriate for the material distribution optimization for the large-scale event emergency and disasters.
