Abstract

In this paper, we are concerned with the problem of static output feedback stabilization of linear control systems. A new necessary and sufficient condition for static output feedback stabilization of linear time invariant control systems is derived. Based on the integral performance of state transition matrix of the closed-loop system and the optimization technique, a numerical method is proposed to seek output feedback gain matrix to stabilize the linear systems. The effectiveness of the method is interpreted by a theoretical result and numerical examples.
