Abstract

In an MSc curriculum of electrical engineering, optimization principles could give students an effective tool to tackle analysis as well as synthesis problems by a general and systematic approach. A number of case studies is discussed in detail to show, in a straightforward way, how optimization can play an essential role in the analysis of circuits and fields as well as in the solution of design problems.
