Abstract
Self-regulating and self-stabilizing nature of Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) makes it fit to perform load-following operation. The dynamic model of a 100MWe PWR is presented which is assumed to be operating in Normal Mode. Optimal Nonlinear Dynamic Inversion (NDI) is adopted to design the load-following controller in such a way that the designed controller will guarantee global asymptotic stability along with perfect load-following operation and that too with least-possible control effort i.e. with minimum control rods movement. The controller performance has been validated using real-time Hardware-in-Loop (HiL) test-bench.
