Abstract

A detailed overview is given of an ontological spatial monitoring system (OSMS) based on the multiagent approach to complex tasks and focused on the end user. The main benefits of the combined use of the ontological and multiagent approaches are discussed. Agricultural land monitoring is used as an example to consider the main aspects involved in designing a team of agents engaged in the monitoring of spatial objects.
