Abstract

With the widely use of double-line and multiple- line on the same tower in power transmission network, their zero-sequence parameters on-line measurement becomes one of the hotspots of research. Based on the distributed parameter model of double-line, on-line measurement method using WAMS data is proposed in this paper. The physical model takes all electromagnetic coupling effects into consideration, which contains zero-sequence impedance and capacitance, coupling capacitance between lines. The mathematical model, telegraph equation, is set up. With the help of WAMS, all the parameters considered are solved. Numerical simulation result shows that this method is of great convenience and high accuracy that can meet the needs of parameters on-line measurement in electrical engineering.
