Abstract
Land cover change detection is a comprehensive procedure involved with several interlinked steps. As a large number of change detection algorithms have been developed depending on different requirements, it becomes difficult for common end-users to select an appropriate change detection workflow. To address the challenge, this paper presents an online land cover change detection system with web service composition. Firstly, change detection domain knowledge is summarized, and a service relation model (CDS-Net) is developed for knowledge representation. Then, a dynamic service composition algorithm is proposed based on service relation reasoning. Finally, a prototype system (SCS-OCD) is designed and implemented to enable users to execute a web service chain of land cover change detection in an open web environment. A case study of online change detection with different users' requirements is used to demonstrate the effectiveness and applicability of the prototype system.
