Abstract

A storage display monitor is used for on-line display of bubble chamber photographs measured by an automatic measuring system. A problem arises when the line scanning speed of the measuring device exceeds the writing speed of the storage display. This has been solved by stopping the deflection of the display beam for the minimum writing period whenever a dot is to be displayed. The display system provides enlargement of any area on the screen and it indicates the enlarged display area with frame superimposed upon the original picture. The frame is not stored so that it can be moved around the picture.
