An office intelligent access control system based on RFID

Abstract

Radio Frequency Identification Technology --or RFID, is a communication technology, commonly known as electronic tags. The specific target can be identified by radio signals and the relevant data can be read and written without direct contact. In recent years, as life becomes increasingly intellective, radio frequency identification technology developed rapidly, widely applied in identity documents , access control systems, supply chain, inventory tracking, car charges, security, production control and asset management. This paper mainly analyzes the development status of access control system based on RFID, and puts forward the scheme design of intelligent access control system based on RFID. First the paper introduces the constitutes and working principle of RFID, and then compares the RFID smart access with other traditional access control contacts , like IC cards and mechanical keys, through which the superior performance of RFID smart access control could be easily revealed. Then the paper puts forward a general desin scheme of the access control system and further argues the designing principle and process of hardware and software of the access controller, besides the basic functions of the intelligent access control system are expounded. Finally, the evaluation is summarized.
