view Abstract Citations (76) References (28) Co-Reads Similar Papers Volume Content Graphics Metrics Export Citation NASA/ADS An Observational Connection between Circumstellar Disk Mass and Molecular Outflows Cabrit, Sylvie ; Andre, Philippe Abstract This paper presents 1.3 mm continuum observations of a sample of 25 low-luminosity deeply embedded young stellar objects. It is found that those sources with well-developed molecular outflows have much stronger millimeter fluxes than sources with no such flows, by a factor of 20 on average. This difference is most likely due to the presence of more massive circumstellar structures around molecular outflow sources and is consistent with the suggestion that circumstellar disks play a crucial role in energetic outflows from protostellar objects.
