Abstract

The unique geographical environment of Tibetan Plateau provides a good experimental platform to study carbon and water cycle in high altitudes and alpine ecosystems. However, due to the limitations of biophysical conditions, the study of carbon and water fluxes in the hinterland of the Tibetan Plateau is still relatively lacking, and it is urgent to carry out long-term monitoring and data compilation. This dataset is the collection of ecosystem carbon and water fluxes from 2004 to 2010 in Damxung Alpine Meadow Research Station (i.e. Damxung station), Chinese Academy of Sciences, located in the hinterland of Tibetan Plateau. A standardized dataset of ecosystem carbon water fluxes and key meteorological elements were processed based on the data processing system of ChinaFLUX. This dataset has important significance for accurately evaluating the roles of carbon and water fluxes of alpine meadow ecosystem in the Tibetan Plateau for regional and global carbon and water cycle. The dataset consists of 8 subsets in total. It comprises 30min, daily, monthly and annual carbon fluxes data and meteorological data, totaling 56 data documents. The fluxes data include net exchange change of CO2 (NEE), Gross exchange change of CO2 (GEE), ecosystem respiration (RE), latent heat flux (LE), and sensible heat flux (Hs). The meteorological data include air temperature, air relative humidity, water vapor pressure, wind speed, wind direction, atmospheric pressure, solar radiation, photosynthetically active radiation, net radiation, soil temperature, soil volume water content, precipitation and other meteorological elements.
