Abstract

Since 1980s, the development of China’s infrastructure has dramatically improved in terms of transportation (hardware construction), culture, education, health (software construction), urban and rural infrastructure. There have made remarkable headway in modernization of infrastructure, wide application of new technologies, amount of infrastructure investment, and diversified functions of infrastructure. Nevertheless, there are many problems in infrastructure development in central and western China. This paper first analyzes the status of infrastructure development in China, then railway project is taken for example to investigate factors affecting its revenues and demands, with a view to providing lessons for the next step of infrastructure development.
