Abstract

In this paper, we consider and analyze a novel spectrum sharing framework for the joint design of a colocated MIMO radar and a MIMO communication system wherein both radar transceiver and communication transmitter designs are investigated, in which the filtered effective radar interference power is minimized under the transmit power, similarity, and the mutual information (MI) for communication system requirement. In order to solve the original non-convex problem effectiveness, an alternating iterative algorithm is exploited for the derived multi-subproblems. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed spectrum sharing approach is demonstrated by numerical results.
