Abstract

Abstract Monopylephorus limosus (Hatai, 1898) is reported from a highly polluted ditch connected with the Lambro River, E of Milan, Italy. The species was originally described from Japan, and has since only been reported from China. The genital organs of the worm are described and illustrated. It is concluded that M. limosus should be regarded as an introduced form in Europe.
