Abstract

Analytical procedures and a quality assurance plan have been developed for the determination of coplanar PCBs in biological tissue at a target level of quantification of 5 pg/g. The methodology is based upon isotope dilution HRGC/HRMS and is analogous to rigorous protocols developed for PCDD/PCDFs. Results from the determination of coplanar PCBs in fish and marine mammals are presented.
