Abstract

An isomorphic equation of state for binary mixtures has been obtained on the basis of an asymmetric scaled equation for one-component liquids. To extend this equation to the whole range of concentrations a new isomorphic generalization of corresponding states was introduced. The resulting equation has been applied to methane-ethane mixtures and describes experimental P,V,T,X data in a wide region above the critical line. Good agreement with experimental data is observed.
