Abstract

A system for recording and analysing Tektronix 519 oscilloscope traces in cosmic rays applications is described. The recordings are accomplished by an isocon TV camera and a magnetic tape recorder. During the analysis operation the TV recorder is followed by a circuitry which converts the analog video information in digital words and presents them to the interface of an IBM 1130 computer connected on line with the apparatus. The accuracy on amplitude measurements of the traces is better than 100 mV; with an oscilloscope sweep rate of 5 ns/cm an accuracy on time measurements of 120 ps is obtained.
