Abstract

The implementation of traditional air quality monitoring systems has been done with the help of air quality measuring sensors, Zigbee module, a suitable 16 bit microcontroller, GSM module, and GPS module. It also helps to monitor from any remote location by using GSM module. On the other hand, the traditional system poses some drawbacks like increased power consumption by the ZigBee module, less processing capacity of 16 bit microcontroller and increased implementation cost for incorporating GSM and GPS module. Later, an IoT based monitoring system has been developed to measure the air quality but monitoring and gathering the data from multiple nodes and displaying it in single database becomes more complicated. The node failures may also happen if the particular node losses the internet connection and results in consuming more latency time. The proposed model can be used to efficiently monitor the air quality by using LoRa LPWAN (Low-Power WAN) gateways. The major advantages of the proposed method are low power consumption, easy gathering of data from multiple nodes, high processing speed, reduced cost and low latency time. After getting all the parameter values to display the 20X4 LCD Display locally and upload any one IoT Cloud platform. Here, this research work has proposed the Ubidots IoT Platform, which is very interactive and innovative to each and every parameter visible in GUI analytics.
