Abstract

This study was conducted between 2017-2019 in a 8-year-old sweet cherry orchard (Prunus avium L.) in Karamürsel district in Kocaeli. Three different forage crop species (Vicia sativa L., Vicia faba L., Lolium multiflorum Lam.) were raised between drive rows of the trees. During the research vegetation height, herbage yield, dry matter ratio, dry matter yield, crude protein ratio and crude protein yield were determined and, beneficial information which would be useful to producers was obtained. Results indicated that, V. faba showed the highest vegetation height, V. sativa and V. faba produced the highest herbage yield, dry matter yield, crude protein ratio and crude protein yield; while L. multiflorum provided the highest dry matter ratio.
