Abstract

The flexible display that appears these days changes its physical form and this characteristic allows the form to be a key element in the interface that has adopted the flexible display. In this study, we have surveyed the users focusing on the functionality to understand how much the form factor of a flexible display can affect the user experience. We also found that when the flexible display was applied to the interface that is in cylindrical 3D shape, rollable, micro-sized, on two continuous surfaces, and compeletely transparent, it can have significant effects to the functionality user experiences. If this kind of study continues with a variety of user experience types, we will be able to provide the designers suggestions on which form factors should be utilized to allow a specific experience.
