Abstract

The study investigated on curriculum affecting students’ choice of Physics at Advanced Level in Kabale District. The study objective include; influence of curriculum on students’ choice of Physics at Advanced level Secondary school in Kabale District. The study adopted a cross-sectional survey and descriptive research design. A total number of 133 students from 9 (3 private and 6 government) Advanced level secondary school students in Kabale District were used. Purposive and stratified sampling approaches were used in particular for the schools to participate in the study. Instruments for the study used were questionnaires and interview guide for S.5 Arts and Science students. Findings of the study indicated that curriculum variables did not significantly influence students’ choice of Physics at Advanced level. It was recommended Physics curriculum should be made relevant to the learners and appealing by teachers using daily life experiences in the environment.
