Abstract
Cladosporium herbarum comprised 73% of all colonies recorded, and showed marked seasonal periodicity with greatest numbers occurring in the summer. Pullularia pullulans, Epicoccum species and Botrytis cinerea , though less frequently recorded than C. herbarum , showed similar seasonal periodicity. The occurrence of Penicillium and Aspergillus species was rather irregular but more colonies were generally recorded during winter and spring. In the summer spore showers of C. herbarum were occasionally recorded, and one such shower was associated with grass mowing close to the exposed plate.
