Abstract

The aim of the paper is to derive and investigate the sensitivity model of the aerobic batch waste water treatment processes, described by Monod equations, in order to correct the a-priory information about the model parameters to match the current experimental data. The sensitivity analysis enables to determine the effective parameters and their initial values in an estimation procedure by considering their influence on the substrate and microorganisms concentration. This contributes to the solution of some problems concerning the uniqueness and convergence of the parameter estimation.
