Abstract

The main purpose of this investigation was to examine the relationship of race, sex, and socioeconomic status to certain values held by junior college students as measured by the Survey of Interpersonal Values (SIV). More specifically, the purpose was to answer the questions of whether race, sex, and socioeconomic status are factors associated with any observed differences in the interpersonal values of the students involved in this study. Another purpose of this studv was to develop additional statistical data which might prove useful in further establishing the validity of the SIV.
