Abstract
An anti-resonance point will be produced by a pendulum-type vibration controlling device which is combined with a main vibration structure. It is true that the displacement of the controlled object will become zero at the point when the damping ratio of the controlling device is a small value. If the anti-resonance point falls into line with an exciting frequency that is applied to this structure object, it will not produce a vibration resulting from the exciting frequency. This paper shows a design method for a vibration controlling system using an anti-resonance point that is shifted by the software servo system which manipulates adjustable, pendulum-type vibration equipment acting as a semi-active controlling device. If the exciting frequency is almost in the same frequency range, the effectiveness of this system, indicated by theoretical ana]ysis, will be domonstrated through this experiment.
