Abstract
This study aims at the prediction of anxiety of high school students test in Yazd City which is done based on 2x2 achievement goals and procrastination. Correlation method was used to carry out this approach 350 students of 3rd grade of secondary school in Yazd were selected by the use of multistep cluster sampling. The required data were collected by different questionnaires as follow Saonon and Rozental procrastination. Assessment scale–student (PASS), Elliot and McGregor achievement goal questionnaire (AGO) and Saraso test anxiety scale. Data were interpreted by multivariable regression. Result show that performance–approach goal and mastery–avoidance goal are positive predictors of procrastination; Dominance tendency, performance– avoidance goals and mastery. Approach goals are the positive and negative predictors of test anxiety respectively. These findings show that cognitive representation which students obtained of an academic environment can be effective on test procrastination and anxiety either negatively or positively.
