Abstract
Daroczy [1] introduced the concept of generalized entropy in terms of an information function of type-$\beta $. In this paper we have obtained an information function in terms of a generalized entropy function for rational numbers. Also the idea of generalized entropies has been extended for the continuous distributions and some properties have been studied thereof.
