Abstract

We propose a reconstruction algorithm for microwave imaging that exploits spatial prior information to achieve high-resolution images. A regularization matrix with the spatial prior information is incorporated into the distorted Born iterative method. We test the algorithm using simulated array measurements of a 2D numerical phantom and demonstrate that it preserves the edges between different regions and correctly estimates their dielectric properties. This algorithm shows promise for enhancing the resolution of microwave breast imaging.
