Abstract

An analytical procedure is presented to determine the surface current density required to produce a specified form of the electric field at a given depth in a conducting half-space. It is demonstrated that the system could be implemented with a discrete array of concentric loop currents. Attention is confined to azimuthal symmetry and to low frequencies where displacement currents in the upper free space region are negligible. >
