Abstract

Research of the inventory of gastropods in the mangrove ecosystem of Nusa Lembongan was carried out from July to August 2022. This descriptive research aims to determine the species and diversity of gastropods. The study was conducted using the quadrant transect method at 54 points, 9 points each in six vegetation zone. The results showed that there were 20 species of gastropods from 7 families. The families found were Ellobiidae, Potamididae, Cerithiidae, Littorinidae, Columbellidae, Neritidae, and Mitridae. The abundance of gastropods found in the study area ranged from 1 - 241 ind/9m2, with the highest abundance being Clypeomorus pellucida and the lowest abundance being Nerita savieana and N. undata. Gastropod diversity index in the Nusa Lembongan mangrove ecosystem ranges from 0.4 - 1.6 which is a moderate range.
