Abstract

In the present study, we formulate an inventory model with waste disposal cost under the intuitionistic fuzzy environment. To optimize the best inventory policy under the intuitionistic fuzzy environment, the alpha-cut approach is used for the defuzzification of all intuitionistic fuzzy decision variables. This study aims to reduce the total inventory cost and adjust the waste outcomes during the production processes to keep a clean and green climate, which will be cost-effective for any organization, both environmentally and economically. A numerical example is presented regarding the proposed intuitionistic fuzzy model to validate the methodology.
