Abstract

This paper attempts to introduce a new economic modeling in times of war. The main objective of this paper is to evaluate war in different stages until the end. This new economic modeling in times of war is entitled “the war economic capability model (WEC-Model).” Hence, the WEC-Model will study the evolution of war in three different phases: (i) initial conflict and diplomatic negotiations; (ii) war conflict; (v) winners and losers in the post-war stage. In addition, the WEC-Model is introducing a serial of new indicators such as economic desgrowth (-δ), war intensity (αi), war losses (-π), economic wear (Π), level of war tension (ζ), level of diplomatic negotiations (η) and total economic leaking (Ωt). Finally, the WEC-Model was applied on the evaluation of a potential war between and People’s Republic of China and Japan.
