Abstract

Structured programming is the name which has been given recently to a methodology of designing computer programs. Many programmers insist that they have been using this technique for a long time and this may well be true, but the recent emergence of this technique has resulted from an attempt to formalize the process of designing programs in the same manner as logic design has been formalized.
