Abstract
In the second part of a two-part series showcasing institutional repository software applications, “From Picas to Pixels” editor Chad Hutchens interviews president and CEO of bepress, Jean-Gabriel Bankier. Bankier discusses bepress' hosted institutional repository Digital Commons and addresses customization, capabilities, and trends at successful institutions. He also presents concrete examples of how numerous institutions are using Digital Commons to promote conferences, capture campus events, host non-traditional publications, as well as traditional peer-reviewed publications.
