Abstract
In this paper, the LSD wave ignition process is analyzed. Interaction of an Nd:YAG laser and a pure Al target is investigated synchronously with a Mach-Zehnder interferometer, and series of interferograms of the ignition of an LSD wave and its propagation are obtained first. The propagating speed of the LSD wave and the pressure behind the LSD wave are obtained.
