Abstract

This paper proposes an interface pressure measurement system for medical compression stockings (MCS). A prototype system is developed and proved to be effective in the MCS interface pressure measuring applications. By employing a soft and thin air pouch to sense the interface pressure generated by MCS compressing onto skin, patients don't feel uncomfortable obviously. Due to the miniature size of the device, the system is suitable to be assembled into wearable pressure monitoring systems in the future.
