Abstract

The interactive multiabjective decision making technique presented in this paper is based on the surrogate worth trade-off (SWT) method, but it only requires the decision maker (DM) to declare whether he is willing to proceed with the trade-off, which makes it easier for him to answer questions raised by the analyst. The bisection procedure suggested by this technique helps one to approach his preferred solution ultimately. This method is used for tackling a water resource planning problem in China.
