Abstract
In addressing the challenge of drivers who are unable to locate their own vehicles in large indoor parking garages, an intelligent vehicle-tracking system is proposed in this paper. Through the use of QR (quick response) codes, map service, and local tile map package technologies, accurate vehicle location, tracking, and navigation functions are achieved. The software application on mobile phone with the Android operating system was implemented and tested in two indoor parking garages. The experimental results showed that the technical solution is available and practicable, and the results are of guiding significance to the extensive application of indoor vehicle tracking.
