Abstract
Output filter of the grid inverter usually has a large footprint in the total system. In order to increase the power density of the grid inverter, an integrated passive integration structure for output filter with flexible multilayer foil (FMLF) is presented. The design of the integrated output filter is discussed. Then a Distributed Electromagnetic Component (DEMC) model of the integrated filter is used to verify the design. Finally, the proposed integrated output filter is applied in a 3kW single-phase inverter. Experimental results are included to show the validity of this integrated filter design.
