Abstract

In this paper, we present the design of a tunable wideband radio-frequency (RF) filter working from 2 to 20 GHz using system-in-package (SiP) solution to reduce the overall insertion loss in a miniaturized package size. The proposed filter is composed of six selective sub-channel, including IPD band-pass filters and input/output RF switches. Chip-scale package is applied to the integrated RF switches and filters into a substrate, allowing for a low loss and cost effective solution. Implemented in the SiP technology, the RF filter features total power consumption of around 180 mW and a compact size of 12 mm * 12 mm, including the band-pass filters at six selective frequencies and RF switches.
