Abstract

With the rapid development of intelligent transportation systems, conventional testing methods are hard to meet the testing requirements of the complex cooperative vehicle infrastructure system (CVIS). Based on analyzing various functions of the vehicle infrastructure interactive traffic safety system, the vehicle-vehicle interactive collaborative control system and the traffic coordination control system under the cooperative vehicle infrastructure environment, it is synthetically considered the implementing scenes and venues of vehicle infrastructure system. Combining with advanced wireless communication, data exchange technology and sensor detection technology, presented an integrated testing scheme on the basis of real testing conditions of CVIS under two scenarios, i.e. a segment and an intersection. Through the on road experiment, the integration and simplification of the scenes and venues have been achieved and the redundancy of the test system has been reduced. The experiment results indicate that the testing scheme is of general and feasible. As a typical, complicated and giant system, the transportation system is difficult to deal with the worsening of jams, frequent accidents, and environmental pollution by using the traditional transportation management in which is in point of the road and vehicle recently. In the meantime, traffic accident also brought many social problems, influenced the social stability. This phenomenon does harm to the economic and social development in our country. The safety and efficiency of transportation system has become the key problem in restricting the development of transportation. Currently, all countries around the world are actively launching the research and experiment aim at the cooperative vehicle infrastructure technique. Also, it can be used to ameliorate the safety and efficiency of transportation system. Simultaneously, the United States, Japan and Europe, are in a leading position.
