Abstract

In this paper, a novel integrated substrate gap waveguide (ISGW) electromagnetically coupled 3-order filter is proposed. The filter includes three layers of substrates. The bottom substrate realizes the substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) electromagnetic coupling filter, the electric coupling is generated by the etched slots, and the magnetic coupling is generated by the metal vias. The top substrate and the middle substrate form an integrated substrate gap waveguide (ISGW), which packages the SIW filters on the bottom substrate, effectively preventing internal electromagnetic leakage and external electromagnetic interference. The simulation results show that the -3dB bandwidth of the designed ISGW filter is 15.47-17.49Ghz, and two transmission zeros are generated at 14.96 and 18.69GHz.
